My homelessness is ending. I will be taking rent on a room full-time in September, in a house here in Chico.

This is not the end of me trying to continue to improve my situation, both with work and housing. But it will give me a much needed break. My experience, while slightly traumatizing, has given me an understanding that I did not see before: that for all of the promises, the charities that are out there today are crooks and need to be held accountable for the system they have created. A system that doesn’t actually help the most needy of our population, but rather pads the pockets further of the richest of our population. I can say with confidence that none of the organization that say they help the houseless get into homes did anything that remotely added up to any real tangible help at all … It was my connections to the community and my reputation that got me here … and of course my guardian angels both living and beyond 😁 I am going to make it my mission to either help fix the existing system, or burn it all down and start over, because the status quo isn’t working — at least not for the ones who need it the most. ~peace Scotty 😁
