At the “Facility” there is a great room with two wings … and each wing has two halls … each hall has seven rooms … with two people per room … that works out to be fifty six people who are under the care of this place … I see it is very much a business around here … and the cracks of capitalism shines brightly even in the nonprofit sectors in the USA …

Please don’t take anything I say as criticism of this place or especially the people … all of my interactions with the staff have been nothing but polite and respectful … the facility is as clean as any hospital type environment … although I wouldn’t want to have to recover from surgery here … I also wonder if they are really here to help the individual … or just help treat them … It’s a numbers game … You get six months here before you’re kicked out … My roommate recently timed out … and the staff handled it politely but firmly … It also seems they slow rolled the process to keep you here … until your time is up? The six months thing isn’t a tough love reason … It’s because the insurance companies won’t pay any more … not that you don’t still have the need … But now they can’t afford to help you … I really don’t think anyone actually gets housing through this program … and if they do it’s not because they became employed … It’s because their medical needs paid for it … Shared post
