Being homeless is being in a constant state of panic … Panic attacks becomes the norm…

Oh my God where’s my phone… Where’s my keys… several times a day… If you’re lucky enough to have a place to safely store belongings… otherwise you are stuck carrying everything around with you everywhere … Your at the mercy of thieves, opportunist and your own forgetfulness…. And if you do partake in the finer things in life … You can’t enter the shelter with any paraphernalia or substances … So you have to find a place to stash your stash… There’s a lot that goes into stashing … The Number one thing to keep in mind that a kid could find it … So no playgrounds, parks, creek beds or housing areas… You also have to be careful not to let anyone else know what you’re up to … or risk your stash being taken… Today I received word from the Jesus Center Renewal Senior Shelter that I have an intake at 1:30p tomorrow… This is hopefully a 👍 step forward for me … Hopefully I’ll have a safer place to keep my belongings so I don’t need to carry a bag around….
